Faded Sandpaper

Our Culture

Steffes Gene tractor.jpg

Firm founder, Gerald Steffes, was raised on a farm south of Olpe, Kansas.

His father, Gene Steffes was born in 1926 and served our country in the Pacific during WW2. Gene along with his wife Pat and 7 children, worked long days in the wheat, soybean, and milo fields of eastern Kansas.  In addition, they raised cattle, hogs and sheep while also operating the local locker in Olpe.

Full of wisdom and patience, they taught their children the value of a strong work ethic. Being honest, respectful, and empathetic, is their simple philosophy that is woven into our company culture.
